Delivery Mode: Instructor-led eLearning
Prerequisites: None
Course Length: Two instructor-led sessions, 2 hours each
Description: This instructor-led eLearning experience is a specially designed version of EBG's instructor-led one-day course Business Rules: A Roundtrip Journey on the Road to Success. To participate, all you need is an Internet connection and a telephone.

Business analysts must actively participate in writing business rules. The task is to elicit, specify, verify, and validate business rules that are correct, clear, consistent, complete, and relevant.

In this course you'll learn to identify business rules to refine analysis models such as events, state diagrams, use cases, and the logical data model. The course uses the EBG Requirements Roadmap* to aid in navigating among the models. You'll explore how and why to write atomic-level business rules. You'll identify six categories of business rules and review their syntax. You'll also consider critical tasks for managing and enforcing business rules.

In this carefully designed and executed learning environment you'll participate in interactive discussions, complete practice exercises, and evaluate sample results. You'll leverage worksheets, templates, and checklists to ease the work of identifying, writing, managing, and enforcing business rules.

This course is endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) and aligns with the IIBA's Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) applicable tasks and techniques. You'll earn 4 PDs (Professional Development) hours or 4 CDUs (Continuing Development Units) for attending this course.

*The EBG Requirements Roadmap is a set of interrelated models (behavioral, structural, dynamic, and control) at varying levels of detail.
